Milena attended a seminar on "Welfare Activities and Technologies for Ageing Population", where six major cities in Finland shared their experience in achieving sustainable social development, using high technology for healthcare such as teleconsultation and interactive video contact centre.
Anne followed two exchanges of views and votes of the ENVI (Environment, Food Safety and Public Health) committee in the European Parliament: on the Health and Consumer programme and Avian Influenza . She also attended two other events in the Parliament: a meeting of the Intergroup on Ageing which focused on long-term care and a presentation of two Czech projects on e-health .
EPHA organised a seminar on the "Right to health and Right of access to healthcare", within the Social Platform Conference entitled Building Social Policies on Fundamental . Milena, Tamsin, Murielle, Anne and Sidesla were present. Minutes will be available shortly.
As part of the project "SEXual Patients Rights Charter" (SEX-PARC) led by the International Centre of Health Protection (HERA ) based in Russia, Milena organised a study visit for a group of Russian healthcare professionals interested in sexual and reproductive rights. EPHA is the Brussels-based partner of the project. The programme of the 5-day study visit can be downloaded below.

Tamsin Rose made a presentation about "Lobbying, the role of NGOs and communication strategies" at a Training Course on the European Internal Market and the Health Sector, which took place in Sofia, Bulgaria, from 26 to 30 October 2005.
Anne gave 3 interviews on Avian influenza: two to the BBC World TV and one to BBC 24 (TV). She also features in the European Voice (20-26 October 2005).
